List #5: Outdoor Adventures
While in Puerto Vallarta, I went on an Outdoor Adventure with Becky and Reem. On that adventure we did the following:
- Blew our hair back with a 30 minute speed boat ride getting a glimpse of the beauty of the Mexico shoreline.
- Climbed into 1973 US Military Trucks and braved the craziest road I have ever seen. We bounced over rocks, drove threw rivers, and held on for dear life.
- Got hooked up with harnesses, bandannas, and helmets. All in all, we got outfitted up to feel pretty hardcore.
- Hopped on a mule and rode to the top of the mountain. While on this leg of the journey, we were serenaded by one of tour guides with Mexican tunes.
- Zip lined and repelled our way back down the mountain. This was comprised of approximately 10 zip lines (including one that was 1000ft long and 250ft high), a repel down a rock face right next to a waterfall, and a repel where we literally dropped into the river below.
- Got totally soaked. Between zip lining and repelling into water and the rain that was pouring down by the end, we could not have been more wet. However, the rain did mean that our hike back was washed out so we got to do the emergency zip lines usually reserved for the guides.
